are governed by the following standard terms of sale for consumer purchases of goods over the Internet. Consumer purchases mean the sale of goods to a consumer who is not primarily acting as part of a commercial activity, when the seller acts in a commercial activity with the sale of goods over the Internet. The contract has been prepared and recommended by the Consumer Ombudsman. Consumer purchases over the Internet are primarily regulated by the Contracts Act, the Consumer Purchases Act, the Marketing Act, the Right of Withdrawal Act and the E-Commerce Act, which give consumers inalienable rights.

1. Examination of the goods upon receipt – important information about damaged glass

The buyer is obliged to examine the goods upon receipt. It is particularly important that goods with glass, such as greenhouses, are carefully checked for damage immediately. Damage to glass or other parts must be reported to the seller within 3 days after receipt in order to be considered transport damage.

If the item is not checked within this period, it may be difficult to determine when the damage occurred, and the customer’s right to claim for such damage may be affected. We therefore encourage all customers to check the packages thoroughly upon receipt and report any deviations as soon as possible.

2. Tightness and leakage guarantee on greenhouses

Our greenhouses are delivered without a leakage guarantee. No greenhouse sold in Norway is a 100% tight construction, and this also applies to our products. However, many customers have achieved satisfactory tightness by using silicone on joints and around glass panels. This is an individual measure that works for some, but there is no guarantee from us that the greenhouse will be tight, even with such adjustments. We recommend using silicone if tightness is important to you, but this is at your own risk.

3. The Agreement

The agreement between the buyer and the seller consists of information provided by the seller in the ordering solution on the online store, direct correspondence between the parties, and these terms and conditions of sale. In the event of a conflict, direct correspondence and information provided in the ordering solution shall prevail.

10. Risk of the goods

The risk of the goods is transferred to the buyer when the goods have been taken over in accordance with the agreement.

11. Right of withdrawal

The buyer has the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days of receipt, as long as the goods are returned in the same condition as when received. Assembled or used goods do not give rise to a right of withdrawal.

12. Complaints in the event of defects and deadline for reporting claims in the event of delay

The buyer must report defects within a reasonable time after they are discovered. The deadline for complaints is two years, or five years if the goods are intended to last significantly longer.

13. The buyer’s rights in the event of delay

In the event of delay, the buyer may withhold the purchase price, demand performance, or terminate the agreement if the conditions are met.

14. Buyer’s rights in the event of a defect

In the event of a defect, the buyer may withhold the purchase price, demand correction, replacement, price reduction or terminate the agreement in accordance with applicable laws.

19. Conflict resolution

In the event of a dispute between the parties, this shall be attempted to be resolved amicably. The Norwegian Consumer Council can assist in any disputes, and if no agreement is reached, the matter may be settled in accordance with Norwegian law.

20. Important information about glass and GlassService agreement

All of our greenhouses with glass are delivered with tempered safety glass. This provides both good safety and high durability, but it also requires careful handling. The customer is obliged to familiarize themselves with the glass information on this page https://fasadenor.no/elementor-10599/ before purchasing.

Transport damage: Upon delivery, the customer must check the packaging carefully. If there are signs of damage, the shipment must be marked as damaged upon receipt, and we must be contacted immediately. Transport damage that is not reported upon receipt is not covered.

Handling and assembly: Glass that breaks during assembly, handling, or as a result of tension, pressure, or incorrect assembly is not covered by the warranty. This also applies if the glass apparently breaks “on its own” during handling – so-called spontaneous breakage. This is not a manufacturing defect, but often the result of invisible stresses.

GlassService agreement: Customers can ensure extra security by purchasing a GlassService agreement. This agreement must be ordered at the same time as the greenhouse or at the latest before it leaves our warehouse. The agreement lasts for 12 months and covers up to 4 panes of glass in the event of damage, accident or external influences. The customer only pays for shipping, or can collect the glass free of charge.

We recommend all customers to read the entire glass guide before purchasing: https://fasadenor.no/elementor-10599/
